Larry Mora was born and raised in New Mexico and moved to California in 1974.
He followed in his father’s footsteps, Colonel William Todd (09/30/29-06/12/94), who was a world renowned tattoo artist for over 40 years. One of the Colonel’s greatest accomplishments was to design and manufacture his own tattooing machine, still used all over the world today by famous tattoo artists including: Ed Hardy, Good Time Charlie, Dave Gibson, Paul Jeffries, Brian Everett and many more.
At his Dad’s shop in Twentynine Palms, CA, Larry carried on the family tattooing tradition, maintaining the high standards of his father, and continuing to manufacture his Dad’s tattooing machines. He also inherited over a hundred vintage tattoo photos from the Colonel’s collection of old tattoo memorabilia.
A true multi medium artist in his own right, Larry’s career has spanned 30 years. His one true love is the vividness he receives working in water colors. He is also a talented craftsman creating everything from custom frames to lamps and furniture through “Fine Arts by Mora”.
